Made in the A.M & 1989

Before saying anything else about Made in the AM album by One Direction and 1989 by Taylor Swift. This is not a comparison of the two albums, this is going to be an article about specific tracks.

Both albums are somehow connected to each other. Not only by business, and genre but also to the artist.

In late 2012, the hollywood was filled with flash of cameras from paps. Both fanbase of the two artists were both surprised of the news that Taylor Swift and one of the member of the biggest boy group in the planet today, Harry Styles of One Direction were dating.

The previous paragraph is not written to reopen the past and make news of how the former couple used to be like. It is an introduction of the connections between the tracks of the blockbuster 1989 album and much anticipated album Made in the A.M.

The tracks Style, Out of the Woods, I Wish You Would and I Know Places are humored to be about the ex couple’s tradegy in terms of dealing with the media and the main objective of these tracks are to storytell what happened to them and not to diss her ex lover or to write what she felt during the moment.

Drag Me Down, Infinity and Perfect are the first releases for the upcoming album of One Direction. But, Perfect is the most interesting track among the three because it is rumored to be about T.

These lyrics from both albums are making the connections.

t’s 2 AM in your car/Windows down, you pass my street, the memories start – I Wish You Would/Taylor Swift

And if you like midnight driving with the windows down – Perfect/ One Direction

Baby, I know places we won’t be found – I Know Places/ Taylor Swift

And if you like going places we can’t even pronounce – Perfect/ One Direction

But, the most revealing signs are Perfect and Style somehow sound similar and these lyrics:

And if you like cameras flashing every time we go out (Oh, yeah)/And if you’re looking for someone to write your breakup songs about/Baby, I’m perfect/Baby, we’re perfect. – Perfect One Direction

Good thing is; even though these tracks and artists are connected, there is no diss at all. Making the both fanbase bring to peace and not fight like they used to.
